As you jump headfirst into adult life, things can feel exhilarating and overwhelming all at once. Between your budding career, a first mortgage, and finding time to train the new puppy — it’s a lot!
But with these life transitions come some amazing milestones, too, like getting married to the love of your life and starting a family together. So when it comes time to document these moments, shouldn’t it feel colorful, easy, and dare I say, FUN?!

And that’s when the real magic happens.
I got into photography because I love storytelling. I could talk all day long about how a well-composed image can come alive with movement and emotion. (And a big reason why I love reading manga!) Take one glimpse and you’re transported to that moment and the story that’s unfolding.
While I work hard to bring you beautifully bright and colorful images that you can obsess over, my number one goal is to connect with you first. I’m going to get to know you ahead of time so that you feel comfortable enough to be yourself when it comes time to step in front of the camera. Because that’s how we tell your story.
eating any kind of potato dish (my friends call me the Potato Queen)
listening to the latest Abroad in Japan podcast (and dreaming about when we can go back)
battling for the title of Mario Party ‘Superstar’ with my hubby, Steve (who’s just as nerdy as I am)
singing or playing my guitar or reminiscing about my marching band days (cuz music is good for the soul)
Edited to remain bright & true to life (because I know how much time you put into planning your colors!)
Unique and authentic to you & your story
Heavy on the laughs & light on the poses
Candid in nature & full of genuine emotion
Yep, you read that right! I met Steve at Colossal Con, an annual convention at the Kalahari resort, where we bonded over our mutual love of all things Japanese. That led us to get married and travel to Japan for our honeymoon. (Ask me about the time we got caught in a Tokyo rainstorm and had to run 3 miles, jet-lagged, to our fancy, pre-arranged dinner cruise!)
Growing up, there were always animals around, including my beloved childhood cat, Chicken — who lived to 18 and was by my side through everything. Today, I love snuggling with my sour-then-sweet cat, Patches, and having furry visits with my parents’ dogs, Finnie & Frankie.

I’m 6 feet tall and played basketball growing up. You could usually find me in the post position and, while I may have not scored the most points, let’s just say I was feared on defense for my killer elbows! (So I shouldn’t have any trouble wrangling your extended family for a group shot — and despite my height, I always bring a step stool for the most flattering angles!)
Hiring a wedding or family photographer is more than just booking a vendor. It’s finding a new friend you can count on to get to know you, give you advice, lift you up, make you feel comfortable and confident, and take care of the details while taking away the stress.
My biggest hope for each of my clients is that their love continues to grow and they’re all still laughing and enjoying each others’ company as much as they do in the photos we capture together.
